Laptop screens get broken all the time. Let’s face it they can be fragile and life happens. But don’t worry they are an easy fix and parts are always available. Here’s a photo of one I fixed last week.
As you can see there is huge round area where the the screen is not working. My guess is this one got crushed maybe in a desk or in a carry case.
TECH TIP! When carrying your laptop in a bag, never put the power adapter on top of it. Use a side bag or keep it out of the laptop bag altogether. That way your power adapter doesn’t crack the screen if it gets bumped or something get’s put on it.
Here’s the screen fixed and ready for delivery. For PC’s replacement screens price our between $30 and $80, with Macs being more expensive, plus labor which is normally $100 and you are set.
Tech Tip 2! Touch screens are way more expensive to fix then regular screens. When buying a new laptop avoid a touch screen version unless you truly plan to use it.
